Additional information :
re3 is the source code of Grand Theft Auto III, obtained through reverse engineering. The project adds many improvements to the original game, including a redesigned render using OpenGL or D3D9, as well as the ability to compile and run on other operating systems and platforms with the addition of new features, including graphics improvements, a free camera in vehicles and much more. Saves are located in ~/Library/Application Support/GTA3/userfiles, settings are located in ~/Library/Application Support/GTA3/re3.ini. The game works best in a full-screen window (in the settings, select windowed mode, then expand it to full screen) - this is the same method for solving problems with the mouse.

Release Features
This build uses the latest available version of re3 dated 09/06/2021 and the Steam version of the game, which is identical to the original disc version of the game. Everything is collected into one application (just drag GTA3.app to ~/Applications or any other place on the disk and it will immediately work without dancing with a tambourine), plus an icon from the mobile version of the game is attached to the macOS Big Sur design. The work was tested on a MacBook Pro Retina 13" 2015 under macOS 11.5 and a MacBook Air M1 2020 under macOS 14.4 - everything works great and without problems.

Installation procedure
Mount the DMG image for your processor (macosx-arm64-librw_gl3_glfw-oal.dmg for Apple Silicon, macosx-amd64-librw_gl3_glfw-oal.dmg for Intel), move GTA3.app to ~/Applications or any other location on the disk.
